A web calendar is an on-line tool to keep yourself and/or others abreast of upcoming events, dates, appointments, deadlines, and special occasions. It's a great way for a group of like-minded people to access a central "hub" for information which would otherwise have to be provided by telephone, flyers, bulletins. It serves as a go-to resource for event content and increases awareness of events. It makes events easier to find. It is available 24/7.

Most of us don't live very far from a body of water suitable for steaming. And steamboating loves company - the more steamboats (and steamboaters) the merrier! It's always nice to come across a like-minded person that you didn't know existed and find that they live almost "next door". Sure, we're listing the big meets. But if you know a couple of weeks in advance that you'll be out on "Lake What-cha-ma-call-it", email the Webmaster with the pertinent information and we'll publish your mini steamboat meet on the attached calendar. And you don't have to be a member or subscribe to Steamboating Magazine. As long as the event includes hobby steamboats and is located somewhere on planet Earth - yes, we hope to be worldwide - we'll list it.
